Queens has been a popular place for bank robbers lately.

Police released on Monday images of a man wanted for robbing a Jackson Heights bank last Friday afternoon — the fourth reported heist attempt in two days at banks around the borough.

Law enforcement sources said the caper took place at 1:15 p.m. on June 15, when the bandit walked into the HSBC Bank located at 76-27 37th Ave. Authorities stated that the bandit approached the teller and presented a note demanding cash.

Seconds later, police said, the employee provided the suspect with an undisclosed amount of money. The bandit then took the cash and fled the scene on foot, heading westbound along 37th Avenue.

Officers from the 115th Precinct responded to the incident; there were no injuries reported.

Cops described the bandit as a Hispanic male with a dark complexion between 45 and 50 years of age, standing 5 feet tall and weighing about 200 pounds. He was last seen wearing a beige baseball cap, a blue hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and light-colored shoes.

At this point, the robbery appears to be an isolated incident — but it came on the heels of a busy day for would-be bank robbers in Queens. One man made two bank robbery attempts in Middle Village on June 14, while at about the same time that day, another bandit failed in his bid to rob a bank in Sunnyside. Those cases remain under investigation.

Anyone with information about the Jackson Heights bank robbery can call Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS (for Spanish, dial 888-57-PISTA), visit the Crime Stoppers website or send a text message to 274637 (CRIMES), then enter TIP577. All calls and messages are kept confidential.
