Fireworks weren’t the only concern for authorities in Maspeth on Independence Day.

According to FDNY officials, the department responded to a fire at the Good Eats Diner on Grand Avenue in Maspeth on July 4 at approximately 9:29 p.m.

The blaze caused minor injuries to four people, fire officials said, but they all refused medical treatment.

Firefighters had the flames under control by 9:44 p.m., authorities said.

According to a spokesperson for Good Eats, the incident was a “small kitchen fire.”

The eatery is temporarily closed but should be reopened by Saturday, July 7, the spokesperson said.
