The two pictured suspects are wanted for a shooting outside the Astoria Houses on July 29.

Two suspects are on the run after allegedly shooting another man outside a building in the Astoria Houses this week.

Officers from the 114th Precinct responded to the scene on July 29 at approximately 1:02 a.m. outside the New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) complex on 27th Avenue after a 22-year-old male victim was reportedly shot in the thigh, authorities said.

According to sources familiar with the investigation, a verbal dispute between the victim and the suspects led to the shooting.

At the same time near 4th Street and 27th Avenue, police said, a disorderly group was reported to police and a victim who attempted to direct the group toward the sidewalk was punched in the face. Authorities said that the shooting and disorderly group are not believed to be related.

EMS transported the shooting victim to Elmhurst Hospital Center where he was treated and later released.

Two unidentified individuals were seen fleeing the scene after shooting the victim, and surveillance cameras from the area captured images of the suspects.

One suspect is described as a black male with an athletic build, short black hair and a chin beard. He was last seen wearing a white t-shirt and red shorts.

The second suspect is described as a black male with an athletic build, short black braided hair and a goatee. He was last seen wearing a blue t-shirt with the word “witness” in white lettering on the front, gray sweatpants, white socks and black sandals.
