This man is wanted for grand larceny related to an Aug. 1 car break-in on 69th Road and 76th Street in Glendale.

Police are warning the public to protect their vehicles from theft after a recent break-in resulted in the loss of valuable property in Middle Village.

The incident unfolded on Aug. 1 some time after 8:30 p.m. on the corner of 69th Road and 76th Street, according to authorities, when an unidentified suspect approached a black SUV and broke the rear driver’s side window with an unknown object.

The individual then reached inside the vehicle and removed a laptop case containing an HP laptop, as well as a Michael Kors purse containing a Florida driver’s license and a credit card, police said.

According to sources familiar with the investigation, the suspect later attempted to use the stolen credit card but the transaction was denied.

Surveillance footage from the area captured images of the suspect, who is described as a Hispanic male adult with brown eyes and black hair. He was last seen wearing a black t-shirt, dark-colored pants and black sneakers.

The individual was also seen fleeing the area in a black four-door sedan, police said.
