KEW GARDENS — A Nassau County resident was charged last week with selling drugs and a dozen stolen motorcycles, according to Queens District Attorney Richard Brown.
Randall Singh, 32, of Hapsburg Place in Hempstead, L.I., is accused of selling cocaine and motorcycles to undercover detectives between June 2017 and April 2018, the DA said. This was uncovered by a long-running investigation by the New York Police Department’s Auto Crime Division and Brown’s Organized Crime and Rackets Bureau.
“This case should serve as a warning to drug dealers and anyone else who barters in stolen goods that law enforcement is coming for you,” said Brown.
Singh was arraigned in Queens Criminal Court Aug. 9 on two complaints charging him with criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal possession of stolen property.
According to Brown, between June 2017 and April 2018, Singh arranged meetings in Queens with a buyer to sell various stolen motorcycles as well as quantities of cocaine. However, Singh, was unaware the buyer was an undercover detective. During the meetings, money was exchanged for drugs and stolen bikes, the DA said.
Singh allegedly sold a variety of stolen motorcycles including a Honda CBR, Suzuki GSXR, Kawasaki Ninja, Suzuki G60 and a BMW F700GS. None of the motorcycles were sold with an ignition key and in many instances the ignitions had been manipulated, either with a screwdriver or rewired to enable the engines to start, Brown said.
According to the second complaint, on Sept. 6, 2017, Singh met with a buyer and exchanged a bag of cocaine for cash. Then on Sept. 26, 2017, the defendant allegedly sold to the same buyer a bag of cocaine for $4,000 as well as a stolen red Honda CBR motorcycle for $2,700, the DA said.
If convicted, Singh faces between eight and 20 years in prison, Brown said.
