Armed crook robs two cab drivers at gunpoint just 10 minutes apart in Queens

Cops are looking for a man who robbed two cab drivers at gunpoint just minutes apart in South Jamaica.

According to police, on Aug. 20 an unknown man called a cab service and requested to be picked up in front of a home on 154th Street off of 119th Avenue.

When the cab arrived at the location at 11:30 a.m., the suspect approached the 47-year-old male on-duty cab driver, opened the front passenger door, displayed a handgun and demanded the driver’s property.

The victim complied and handed over two cellphones and $185 in cash. The suspect ran northbound on 154th Street and then fled the scene inside of a red four door sedan.

That same day, the suspect called a cab service and requested to be picked up at 145th Street near 119th Avenues. When the cab arrived at 11:40 a.m., the suspect sat in the front passenger seat and displayed a handgun at the 36-year-old male on-duty cab driver.

The thief took the victim’s cellphone, wallet and $60 in cash before fleeing the scene on foot in an unknown direction.

Police described the suspect as a black man in his 20s and standing 5 feet, 7 inches tall. He was last seen wearing a white shirt, gray pants and light colored shoes.
