Eat, drink and be merry in Queens without having to do the dishes for seven days.

With a record 46 establishments ready to serve their delights, the Sunnyside Shines Business Improvement District will present the sixth-annual Restaurant Week from Sunday, Sept. 23, to Saturday, Sept. 29.

The general price point is $25 for a three-course dinner, but smaller places will offer two three-course meals for that fee. Plus, some places will have lunch specials, and one bakery is planning a breakfast deal.

To sweeten the pot, individuals who order a Restaurant Week deal will be entered into a raffle to win a $250 gift certificate at any participating eatery.

And because man cannot live by bread alone, there’s a good-waiting contest this year. Those who order from the Restaurant Week menu will be able to nominate a “Star Server.” The employee who gets the most nominations will receive a $50 gift card from Sunnyside Shines.

Obviously, food is at the center of this seven-day promotion, but it also highlights the western Queens neighborhood’s tremendous diversity. Colombian, Ecuadorian, French, Indian, Irish, Italian, Japanese, Mexican, Peruvian, Tibetan and Turkish cuisines are only some of the options.

Most of the eateries are located on Queens Boulevard, Greenpoint Avenue, and Skillman Avenue, but the catchment area spreads as far east as 36th Street and as far west as 52nd Street, which is actually in Woodside.

As part of the fun, Sunnyside Shines requests that diners serve as “social media delegates” and share their experiences on Instagram and Facebook with tags to the restaurant, Sunnyside Shines, and #SunnysideRestaurant Week. There’s also an Opening Night Happy Hour at Sidetracks, 45-08 Queens Blvd., on Sept. 23, from 5 to 7 p.m.

The BID is posting menus on its website as they are received. Here’s a list of registered establishments as of posting time.
