Search continues for suspect who shot a St. Albans man to death

Police are investigating the death of a man who was found shot on a St. Albans street early Tuesday morning.

According to police, at 12:25 a.m. on Oct. 9, officers from the 113th Precinct responded to a 911 call regarding a person shot at the corner of 171st Street and 119th Road.

Upon their arrival, cops found Dashawn Taylor, 31, of 170th Street, unconscious and unresponsive, with a gunshot wound to the torso.

Paramedics rushed Taylor to Jamaica Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

At this time, police do not yet know the motive behind the shooting. No arrests have been made.
