The NYPD was searching for a suspect wanted in connection with an assault that occurred Sunday on a Manhattan bound “E” train, in the vicinity of Queens Plaza.
According to police, a 63-year-old Hispanic woman boarded the train Nov. 4 around 9:15 a.m. and asked a seated individual if he would move his bag to allow her to sit. Police said the individual refused before standing up and punching the victim in the face, which knocked her to the ground.
Upon entering the station, the individual exited the train and fled on foot, according to authorities, who said the victim suffered pain and swelling but was not seriously injured. EMS responded but the victim refused medical attention.
Police described the individual as an African-American man in his 20’s, who is approximately 6 feet tall and 165 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black hat, green hooded jacket and dark pants, according to law enforcement sources.
