A Bayside man died Friday night when his car collided with a luxury sedan at a South Jamaica street corner, according to authorities.

Law enforcement sources said the crash occurred Nov. 23 at 9:30 p.m. at the intersection of Rockaway and Guy R. Brewer Boulevards.

According to authorities, Jianhang Zhuo, 40, of 224th Street, was behind the wheel of a white 2001 Nissan Sentra heading eastbound on Rockaway Boulevard when he attempted to turn left onto Guy R. Brewer Boulevard. As he did so, police said he collided with a gray 2015 BMW X5 heading westbound on Rockaway Boulevard.

Officers from the 105th Precinct and EMS units rushed to the scene. Upon arriving, they found Zhuo unconscious and unresponsive with head injuries. Paramedics rushed him to Jamaica Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The driver of the BMW was also taken to Jamaica Hospital for treatment of injuries that were not considered life-threatening.

No arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing, police said.
