Cops do not suspect foul play in the death of a 73-year-old woman whose body was found in front of a Ridgewood apartment house on Monday morning.

Officers from the 104th Precinct responded to a 911 call near the corner of Seneca Avenue and Weirfield Street at 6:08 a.m. on Feb. 4.

Upon arriving at the scene, the officers found Ramonita Aponte, 73, unconscious and unresponsive on the ground. Responding paramedics rushed her to Wyckoff Heights Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead a short time later.

Police said Aponte lived on Myrtle Avenue, around the corner from where she was discovered. Sources familiar with the investigation said there were no signs of trauma on her body, and learned that she had suffered health problems, including an apparent case of dementia.

Her body was transported to the Medical Examiner’s office for an autopsy to determine the cause of death. The investigation is ongoing.
