Cops searching for two suspects behind attempted gunpoint robbery in Maspeth

The police are looking for two men who allegedly attempted to rob someone at gunpoint in Maspeth early Monday morning.

The authorities got a call around 4:05 a.m., on Monday, July 27, about an armed robbery in progress in front of 47-05 Metropolitan Ave., according to the NYPD. Several shots were fired, though no one was injured, cops said.

The suspects, described as two Hispanic males, were last seen driving a blue Subaru Outback with a New Jersey license plate, according to the police.

No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.
