PHOTOS: Young community leaders band together to pick up trash in Middle Village

A group of civically engaged kids was joined by City Councilman Robert Holden and Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams, as they helped to beautify Middle Village earlier this week.

The Kids Care Crew, a group of young community leaders and students of Saint Margaret Catholic Academy in Middle Village, walked up and down Metropolitan Avenue on Wednesday, Aug. 19, picking up trash as they went.

The trash clean up was organized by the mothers of the young leaders. The group is accepting donations, which will be sent along to Saint Margaret Catholic Academy. Donations can be made by cash or by a check in the school’s name.
