Man dies after being shot in East Elmhurst: NYPD

A shooting in East Elmhurst left one man dead on Tuesday.

On Tuesday, Aug. 25, around 10:45 p.m., the NYPD received a call about a man shot inside a residential building located at 26-49 96th St., according to the police.

Officers arrived to find a 33-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his body, cops said.

The man was taken to NYC Health + Hospital/Elmhurst where he was pronounced dead. The man’s identity is being withheld until his family is properly notified.

No arrests have been made in relation to the shooting and the investigation is ongoing.
