After more than a year, former Congressmember Anthony Weiner started tweeting again on November 7.

Former Queens Congressmember Anthony Weiner has returned to Twitter for the first time since the sexual photo scandal that led to his resignation in June, 2011.

Though he never deleted his account, @RepWeiner, the last Tweet he sent was on June 1 of last year. But around 10 a.m. Wednesday Weiner was active again.

Despite the timing, the tweet was not related to yesterday’s election.

The wordless message contained only a link to a YouTube video, asking for help in the Sandy-damaged Rockaways.

This July, the New York Post reported that Weiner was considering a run in the 2013 New York City mayoral race, but he quickly denied the rumors.
