"Shades of Blue" will shoot scenes for their third season in Maspeth this week.

“Shades of Blue,” NBC’s police/crime drama series starring Jennifer Lopez and Ray Liotta, is coming back to Maspeth on Friday, May 12, and into the morning hours of Saturday, May 13, to film scenes.

Filming will begin at 4 p.m. on Friday afternoon at 57-51 58th Pl., where actors will be holding interior dialogue scenes at the location. Shooting is expected to last until 9 p.m.

The parking restrictions associated with this part of filming will be the entire length, both east and west sides, of 58th Place between 57th Road and 58th Avenue, and 57th Drive between 58th Street and 58th Place.

“Shades of Blue” first filmed scenes in Maspeth during the summer of 2015, and would head up to Astoria for additional filming the following year.

Filming will then move to 56-26 Maspeth Ave., where crews will shoot interior and exterior scenes. There will be a crime scene investigation taking place inside the location and an actor will walk out of the back of the house. The filming is expected to last from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning.

Crews have requested permission to place a camera on sticks and a dolly on the sidewalk, have actors wear police uniforms and carry prop guns, and to have NYPD picture cars on set.

Parking will be restricted at these locations in conjunction with this portion of filming: The full west side of Rust Street between Maspeth Avenue and 58th Avenue; both sides of 56th Terrace between Rust Street and Maspeth Avenue for the full block; and both sides of the full block of Rust Street between 56th Terrace and Maspeth Avenue.

The final scene will involve actors driving around in a police cruiser while talking on the phone along Maspeth Avenue between 58th Street and Maurice Avenue between the hours of 3 and 5 a.m. on Saturday morning.

Permission has been requested to free drive car across streets, place a camera plus dolly and sticks on streets in curb lane and sidewalks, to have actor carry prop guns and wear police uniforms, to stage picture cars on streets in curb lanes, and to place a camera on sticks on the sidewalk island at Maurice Avenue and Maspeth Avenue.

The full length of both the north and south sides of Maspeth Avenue between 58th Street and Maurice Avenue will be restricted to parking.
