A Jackson Heights man was killed in a hit-and-run on Sunday morning.

Police are still on the hunt for a driver who killed a Jackson Heights resident on Sunday morning in Corona and fled the scene.

According to police, Pedro Perez, 51, of 91st Street was found at the intersection of Roosevelt Avenue and 112th Street at approximately 5:11 a.m. on Oct. 22.

Perez, who was unconscious in the middle of the roadway, was transported to Elmhurst Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

An investigation found that a black sedan traveling westbound hit Perez and left the scene. There are no arrests and the investigation is ongoing.
