Police need the public’s help in finding a gunman involved in a recent Kew Gardens Hills shooting.

According to police, at around 9:50 p.m. on Oct. 23, the perpetrator — identified as 28-year-old Marc Coleman — fired several shots at a 46-year-old man outside of a business located at 71-06 Kissena Blvd. Following the shooting, the suspect fled northbound on Kissena Boulevard.

Police say that the victim was struck once in the buttocks. Paramedics rushed the victim to a local hospital for treatment.

Law enforcement sources described Coleman as a black man with black hair and brown eyes, standing 5 feet, 10 inches tall and weighing 170 pounds. He was last seen wearing black baseball cap, a red hooded sweatshirt, gray sweat pants and black sneakers.

The investigation is ongoing.
