Woman, 58, hit and killed by car in Forest Hills

FOREST HILLS — A 58-year-old Hispanic woman was killed Tuesday when she was struck by a car at the intersection of 63rd Road and Yellowstone Boulevard, police sources said.

At about 5:52 p.m., police responded to a 911 call. When they arrived at the scene, they found the woman was crossing 63rd Road from the northwest corner to the northeast corner when a 63-year-old white man driving a tan 2004 Toyota Camry eastbound down 63rd Road hit her while turning left onto northbound Yellowstone Boulevard, police said.

Emergency Medical Services that arrived at the scene transported the victim to Northshore Forest Hills Hospital, where she was pronounced DOA, police said.

The man remained at the scene, police said.

The identification of the victim had not been released as of Tuesday night.

Police said there appeared to be no criminality and the investigation was still ongoing as of Tuesday night.
