Whether you like them hot, mild or sweet, the New York Best Wings Festival will offer participants a chance to try some of the best wings in the borough.
The second annual New York Best Wings Festival is split into three rounds in different boroughs, and Queens residents will have a chance to try selections from Queens restaurants at Bohemian Hall and Beer Garden in Astoria on June 26.
Participating establishments include Austin’s Steak and Ale House, Blackbird’s, Bohemian Hall and Beer Garden, Krave It Sandwich Shop & Eatery, Pelicana Chicken, Adrian Ashby and more. Ticket holders will also have access to Beer and Dark Horse wine, ice cream sandwiches from Melt Bakery and giveaways and additional tastings.
The Manhattan Wing Fest took place at Ainsworth Park and the third session, in Brooklyn, will take place on July 17. Winners from each round will attend the New York Best Wings Festival, which has no set date as of yet, where winners in several categories will be crowned.
Tickets range from $39 to $49 and the event will be split into two sessions — one will begin at 1 p.m. and the other at 4:30 p.m. Ticket holders will receive two wings from every restaurant. VIP ticket holders will have early entry.
The festival was started by friends and former bandmates Matt Kourie and Robert Wittman, who also founded bestwingsli.com, a website dedicated to wing and hot sauce reviews.
