A 22-year-old man from Georgia was arrested on Nov. 6 for trying to bring a pistol into a plane at JFK Airport.

Zachary Hamilton of Kennesaw, Georgia was at the check-in counter at Terminal 2 in JFK Airport on Sunday when a TSA agent asked him what was in his black bag.

Hamilton told the agent it contained a gun and Port Authority police found a glock in the bag.

Hamilton was arrested and charged with criminal possession of a firearm. A spokesperson for the Port Authority said the gun was purchased legally in Georgia.
