Anthony Federici Jr., whose last place of residence was Malba, pleaded to misdemeanor possession of cocaine in Brooklyn federal court Feb. 6, authorities said. He faces a maximum sentence of up to one year in prison and a mandatory $1,000 minimum fine. No sentencing date had been scheduled by press time Monday.Federici was arrested as part of a major cocaine conspiracy ring, authorities said, but was only charged with personal possession.Federici is the son of “Tough” Tony Federici, identified by law enforcement officials as the boss of the Genovese crime family and owner of the Parkside Restaurant on Corona Avenue.The younger Federici, who is not believed to be affiliated with the mob, was the victim in a brutal attack at a College Point nightclub eight years ago.The Aug. 4, 2000 incident took place in the parking lot of Metropolis. Five patrons were stabbed, two critically, including Federici. The suspect, Nick Gambino, then 18, of Brooklyn, was the nephew of two soldiers of the Gambino crime family, police said.Acquitted of trying to kill the five men, Gambino was sentenced to five years probation on assault and weapons charges in 2002 after reaching a plea bargain with the Queens district attorney's office.
