Ira Cohen, who worked as a photographer for the Queens Tribune for the past 15 years, died last week.

A funeral service is scheduled for Friday at 10:15 a.m. in Sinai Chapels, at 162-05 Horace Harding Expwy. in Fresh Meadows followed by a burial at Calverton National Cemetery in Long Island.

“We all loved Ira. I know that everybody from all sides of the borough always enjoyed seeing him at an event,” said Tribune Editor-in-Chief Steven Ferrerai. “He will be missed dearly.”

Cohen, a Vietnam veteran and retired MTA train conductor, is survived by his daughters Denise and Rachel.
