Carmen Electra sues Corona strip club

By Bill Parry

A Corona strip club is being sued by ‘90s pop star Carmen Electra. The singer-actress filed a federal lawsuit against La Oficina Bar, located at 39-20 104th St., for using her image in a nightclub advertisement on its Instagram account.

“This image shows Electra in a sexually suggestive outfit and was intentionally altered to make it appear that Electra was either a stripper working at La Oficina or endorsed the club,” according to the suit filed in Brooklyn federal court.

Models Claudia Sanpedro, Tiffany Roth and Brenda Lee Geiger have joined in suing La Oficina for allegedly using their images without permission. The plaintiffs are each seeking $75,000 for trademark infringement and defamation, plus punitive damages.

Electra and the models claim in the lawsuit that they have been subject to “hatred, shame, obloquy, contumely, odium, contempt, ridicule, aversion, ostracism, degradation or disgrace, and/or could induce an evil opinion in the minds of right thinking persons.”

The manager of La Oficina could not be reached for comment.
