A retired NYPD officer was found dead in an apparent suicide Tuesday near Union Turnpike and 246th Street, according to police.

The 56-year-old woman was reported shot to the 105th Precinct in Glen Oaks and officers discovered her inside a parked car, unconscious and unresponsive, with a gunshot wound to the head.

EMS responders declared the woman dead at the scene.

Police were withholding the identity of the woman pending family identification and the investigation was ongoing.
