Police are investigating the death of a man who was found in the hallway of the Baisley Park Houses in South Jamaica early this morning.

At 1:59 a.m. on May 16, police responded to a 911 call regarding shots fired inside of 116-80 Guy R. Brewer Blvd. Upon their arrival, officers found a 41-year-old man unconscious and unresponsive in the second floor hallway, with a gunshot wound to his head.

EMS responded to the location and pronounced the victim dead at the scene. His identity is being withheld pending family notification.

No arrests have been made at this time. The investigation is ongoing.
