The suspects behind a recent knifepoint robbery at the Court Square station in Long Island City have been linked to a similar caper in Jackson Heights.

Detectives need the public’s help in finding a man and woman connected to two recent knifepoint robberies at train stations in Long Island City and Jackson Heights.

The first caper, police said, occurred at 9:30 p.m. on June 18 at the turnstiles of the Court Square station, near the entrance to the G line.

According to law enforcement sources, the 29-year-old male victim was approached at the location by the thieves, who asked him for a MetroCard swipe. They then displayed a knife and removed $140 from his pockets. After taking the cash, they fled the scene in an unknown direction.

Four days later, authorities said, the suspects confronted a 30-year-old man as he was exiting from the 74th Street-Broadway station at the corner of 77th Street and Broadway at about 8:40 p.m. on June 22.

Police said the bandits blocked the victim on the staircase, then displayed a knife. The crooks removed the man’s wallet — which contained $2 in cash, credit cards and identification — then fled the scene along 74th Street.

On June 27, the NYPD released video footage of the two perpetrators. One of the suspects is a black man who wore a white t-shirt and gray sweatpants. His partner in crime is described as a black woman standing 5 feet, 5 inches tall who was last seen wearing a white tanktop and tight black pants, while carrying a black bag.

Anyone with information regarding the suspects’ whereabouts can call Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS (for Spanish, dial 888-57-PISTA), visit the Crime Stoppers website or send a text message to 274637 (CRIMES), then enter TIP577. All calls and messages are kept confidential.
