Man shoots victim twice in the buttocks before fleeing into a home in Astoria

Cops continue to search for the suspect who shot a man in the butt on an Astoria street last weekend.

Police reported that at 4 p.m. on Sept. 21, a 21-year-old man was standing outside on 27th Avenue when he was approached by an unknown man, who pulled out a gun and shot the victim twice in the buttocks. The gunman then fled into a residence on 27th Avenue.

Officers from the 114th Precinct and EMS responded to the scene. Paramedics brought the victim to a local hospital in stable condition. At this point, police do not know the motive that sparked the shooting.

On Sept. 24, the NYPD released images of the gunman, who was last seen wearing a black hooded sweater with white images on its front and back, and blue jeans.
