Cops were looking for a driver who fatally struck a man who was crossing a street in Forest Hills on Sunday.

Officers from the 112th Precinct responded to a 911 call Nov. 11 at 5:33 p.m. regarding a motor vehicle collision involving a pedestrian struck at the intersection of Continental Avenue and Slocum Crescent.

Upon their arrival, officers found 29-year-old Niklas Ahem lying in the roadway, unconscious and unresponsive, with trauma to his head and body.

EMS responded to the scene and rushed Ahem to Long Island Jewish Forest Hills Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

An investigation by the NYPD Highway District’s Collision Investigation Squad found that an unknown vehicle was traveling northbound on Continental Avenue and as it approached Slocum Crescent, it struck Ahem, who was crossing at the corner of Continental Avenue at the time.

Ahem was then thrown to the pavement as the vehicle continued northbound from the location.

No arrests have been made at this time and the investigation was ongoing.
