Two people were slashed at Bellaire Playground in Hollis on Sept. 10.

The man who slashed two individuals at a playground in Hollis on Sunday afternoon remains at large, according to police.

Law enforcement sources said the assault took place at about 3:50 p.m. on Sept. 10 at the Bellaire Playground located at the corner of Hillside Avenue and 207th Street.

Sources familiar with the investigation stated that the unidentified suspect — described as a black man who stands 6 feet tall — pulled out a sharp object and sliced a 17-year-old man in the face and a 22-year-old man in the right thigh before fleeing the scene. The motive for the attack is not yet known.

Officers from the 105th Precinct and EMS units responded to the scene. The victims were brought to a local hospital for treatment of injuries that were not considered life-threatening.

No arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing.
