Crime falls in 104th Precinct

Although there was one more murder than last year, overall crime in the 104th Precinct fell nearly 16 percent in the first half of this year compared to the first half of 1999, according to police statistics.

Overall, there were 1,609 incidents of serious crime in the seven major categories, down by 301 from the first half of last year.
