The overturned truck on the LIE at the Springfield Boulevard exit closed the westbound lanes on the highway, backing up traffic along the Clearview Expressway, Grand Central Parkway and the Belt Parkway. Traffic on the eastbound lanes came to a halt.
One person was injured in the accident, which scattered debris all over the expressway, and was taken to New York Hospital Medical Center of Queens, said a Fire Department spokesman.
