Modell’s White Sox 3, Krupnick & Goldman Devil Rays 2. After the conclusion of the annual parade, the league did what id did best, kicking off the 2001 season Saturday. In this battle, the pitching of Joey Caraballo led the White Sox to victory. Caraballo hurled a complete-game, striking out 16 batters. Michael Levy had the game-winning RBI, brining home Scott Gandasequi.
In another International Division battle, the Northfork Bank Indians topped the Mark Spitz MD Tigers, 5-3, while in the Major Division, the Ralph’s Ices Yankees defeated the N.H.P. Wireless Diamondbacks, 4-3.
