The Queens Kiwanis Sports Association will be presenting a triple-header all-star baseball extravaganza on Thursday, Aug. 16, at the St. John's University Baseball Field.
The three games will feature outstanding teenage playoffs from three Divisions of the Queens Kiwanis Baseball League, with players from teams in Queens, Brooklyn, and the Bronx showing their skills.
The Opening game, to be played at 2 p.m., will see the Met Division (ages 13 and 14) All-Stars of Queens facing their counterparts from Brooklyn. The second game, starting at 5 p.m. will feature the Junior Division (15 and 16) encounter between Queens/Bronx and Brooklyn. The finale, at 8 p.m., has the first place Whitestone Renegades against the All-Stars from the rest of the Senior (17 to 19) Division. Admission is free. The St. John's Baseball Field is located at Utopia Parkway and Union Turnpike.
High school and college baseball managers and coaches are welcome, as are representatives of organized baseball.
