Kelly’s Car Service 7, C.J. Wolfhounds 4. Kelly’s Mike Karcinski pitched a complete-game victory, forcing a winner-take-all playoff game Saturday. His eight-strike out, 99-pitch effort was clearly his best performance of the year. Kelly’s got key hits from Steven Albanese, Chris Wong, Randy Bayron, Sun Ho KIM, Joey Monte, Keith Newman, Gerard Cash and Jimmy Bernard. Reny Mazorra and Frankie Davi made spectacular defensive plays to preserve Kelly’s win. For the Wolfhounds, Kevin Hyde was unstoppable at the plate with three hits. “C” Canforatta and Matt Waters reached base 2-of-3 times with hits and walks.
Kelly’s Car Service 11, C.J. Wolfhounds 4. Kelly’s Car Service won the decisive final game of the season to capture the Junior Division Championship. Kelly’s offensive explosion featured a three-hit game from Chris Wong and two-hit games from Gerard Cash, Frankie Davi, Sun Ho Kim, Randy Bayron and Mike Karcinski. Jimmy Bernard, twins Vinny and Paul Digirolomo, also delivered timely hits. Sun Ho Kim had a strong performance on the mound before giving over to Randy Bayron. Randy allowed only one hit over the last few innings. Kelly’s defense secured their biggest win of the season. Joey Monte registered seven putouts at first and second baseman Keith Newman chased down two fly balls in the outfield. Kelly’s finished up the playoffs with a 5-1 record. The Wolfhounds had handed Kelly’s their only playoff loss last week. The Wolfhounds were undefeated during the regular season because of players like Alex Kalinkos, Kevin Hyde, Richie Marchisello, Matt Waters and “C” Canforatta.
