Ronald Whittingham, who played two years of junior varsity and who was a starting safety/fullback last year, rushed for 112 yards and scored four touchdowns to lead Long Island City to its first-ever season-opening win, as the Bulldogs defeated John Jay, 38-8, Friday.
“It’s due to the offseason workouts, the training, the running and the lifting,” he said. “But most of the credit goes to the offensive line. Without them, I wouldn’t be able to get my yards.”
