Acclaimed directors David Cronenberg and Alan Parker will participate in Pinewood Dialogues following preview screenings of their new films in special programs presented by the American Museum of the Moving Image.
On Sunday, Alan Parker (“Mississippi Burning,” “Fame,” “The Commitments”) will speak after a screening of “The Life of David Gale,” a riveting thriller starring Kevin Spacey, Laura Linney, and Kate Winslet. On Monday, February 9, David Cronenberg (Naked Lunch, Videodrome, Crash) will speak after a screening of Spider, his adaptation of Patrick McGrath's nightmarish novel, starring Ralph Fiennes, Miranda Richardson, and Vanessa Redgrave. Universal, 2003, 130 mins. Directed by Alan Parker. With Kevin Spacey, Kate Winslet, Laura Linney. A discussion with Alan Parker (“The Commitments,” “Angela’s Ashes”) follows a screening of his latest film, about a University of Texas professor, an advocate for the abolishment of capital punishment, who is falsely convicted of the rape and murder of another activist and suddenly finds himself on death row.
