Position: Guard

Year: Senior

Height: 5-foot-10

Cameron Tyler didn’t have the greatest shooting day, going just 4-for-18 from the field, but with a berth in the PSAL Class A semifinals on the line in the final two minutes against Gompers, the ball never left his hands.

“Killer Cam” scored a team-high 14 points, including four straight free throws in a little more than a minute to put Cardozo ahead, 48-45, with 31 seconds left.

“He’s a strong guard,” Gompers coach Ned Jackson said of Tyler. “We tied him up, but he still got the shots off. He didn’t shoot a lot of long shots, he hurt us more penetrating.”

In an 80-62 blowout over No. 12 Urban Peace in a second round game last Thursday at Elmcor, Tyler scored the Judges’ first nine points en route to a 24-points performance.
