The Midville Dodgers will schedule workouts on Sunday, May 4, for both the senior team, ages 17 to 18, and the college team, ages 18 to 23. The senior team will play a 50-game schedule starting June 1, with the season ending in mid-August.
The team is expected to travel to several tournaments and compete in the Long Island Baseball Association and Westchester Baseball Association. Players should report at 2 p.m. on May 4 to Juniper Valley Park, field No. 1 (Juniper Boulevard South at 76th Street).
The college team will schedule its first outdoor tryouts and workouts on May 4, at 3 p.m. at Juniper Valley Park, field No. 1. Players who play for a college team and are unable to make the tryout can register by phone at 718-651-5865 or e-mail at juniperc@aol.com and leave their name, phone, date of birth, baseball position and college.
The Midville Dodgers college team will play a 24-30 game schedule in the Westchester College Baseball Association with home games at Juniper Valley Park.
