ELMHURST – A 20-year-old man armed with a box cutter raped a 14-year-old girl in an elevator at 80-50 Baxter Ave. about 8 p.m. Friday, police said.
The man fled, and the victim was treated at an area hospital, said police. An investigation was ongoing.
FRESH MEADOWS – Two similar incidents involving swastikas drawn on car doors were reported late last week, police said.
Someone apparently using a black felt marker drew a swastika on the passenger’s side door of a woman’s car parked in front of 69-10 164th St. The incident happened between 4 p.m. Thursday and 7 a.m. Friday, police said.
In the second incident, reported about 9 a.m. Friday, a man’s car was marked with a black felt ink swastika on the driver’s side door. The vehicle was parked at 166-07 69th Ave., police said.
An investigation was still ongoing.
FLUSHING – A Poughkeepsie man was killed early Monday after being struck by a white Chevy van as he crossed the northbound lane of the Whitestone Expressway near the College Point exit, police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The fatality occurred about 2:50 a.m. when 52-year-old William Pfeifer attempted to cross the road after his vehicle broke down, police said.
Officers said no criminality was involved and charges were not filed.
ASTORIA – The death of a man critically injured in a Feb. 21 attack has been ruled a homicide by the city medical examiner last week.
The victim was attacked by someone who struck him in the head with a blunt object and died several days later at a local hospital, police said.
The assailant was part of a group of people who had approached the victim about 1:45 a.m.
The group fled after taking some of the man’s personal property, police said.
The victim, Allan Jones, 62, of 27-15 Ditmars Blvd., ran and collapsed unconscious in front of 28-02 8th St., police said.
He was taken to Elmhurst General Hospital where he died from his injuries four days later, a spokeswoman for the medical examiner said.
No arrests have been made and the investigation was ongoing, said police.
OZONE PARK – A civilian administrative aide assigned to the 106th Precinct was arrested and suspended Tuesday on a charge of petit larceny, according to police.
Sources at the Home Depot on Rockaway Boulevard in Ozone Park said Marzena Muslim, who worked there as well as at the precinct, used her position at the store’s return counter to give herself credits for items she never purchased, police said.
JAMAICA — A Jamaica man was arrested Tuesday on charges he shot and killed a Corona man as the victim’s 4-year-old son watched from the car, police said.
Elric Starks, 21, of 147-44 109th Ave. was charged in the March 28 shooting of David Dixon, 32, of 58-03 Calloway St. in Corona, police said. Dixon was shot once in the head on Sutphin Boulevard in Jamaica, and died at Mary Immaculate Hospital April 2.
Dixon was driving his son, who was uninjured, to the baby-sitter’s when he became embroiled in what was believed to be a road-rage argument, but police later thought the shooting was a result of a previous dispute.
OZONE PARK – A man robbed a North Fork Bank at 114-19 Liberty Ave. of $6,000 at around 1 p.m. on Tuesday, said police.
The robber, described as a black man in his 30s, fled with the cash after pulling out a knife and demanding money from a teller, said police.
There were no injuries or arrests, and an investigation was ongoing, said police.

LAURELTON – Two men robbed a Ridgewood Savings Bank at 230-22 Merrick Blvd. of $400 at around 11:32 a.m. Tuesday, said police.
The suspects, described as two black men in their 20’s, passed two notes demanding money to two different tellers, then fled with the cash, said police.
No weapons were displayed, no injuries were reported, and no arrests were made, said police. An investigation was ongoing.
Tuesday’s robbery occured a week after a man passed a note to a teller at the same bank and made off with about $6,000, police said.
The man was described as a black male about 25 years old, police said. There were no arrests in the ongoing investigation.
LAURELTON – A Queens County Savings Bank was robbed April 16 by a man who passed a note to a teller, police said.
Police described the robber as a black man in his 40s. They said he fled the bank at 134-40 Springfield Blvd. with an undetermined amount of money.
No arrests have been made in the ongoing investigation.
