ELMHURST – The medical examiner has ruled the death of a 33-year-old man found unconscious on a sidewalk last month a homicide, police said July 2.
The body of Teofilo Ventura of 53 Station Rd. in West Hampton was discovered outside 75-16 41st Ave. June 23, police said. He was pronounced dead at Elmhurst Hospital about 9:30 p.m. that night.
The Daily News quoted police sources as saying Ventura had been chased out of a third-floor brothel after he tried to leave without paying, and may have slipped or been thrown off the balcony.
The investigation was ongoing.
