LaGuardia Community College is holding an art exhibit that features the work of young artists through March 31. On display are 29 eclectic works — photography, large paintings on canvas, and digital fabric prints — created by youngsters ages 9 t
The Children’s Art Carnival, which was founded in 1969 as an outreach program of the Museum of Modern Art, provides at-risk and under-served youths with the skills and opportunities that will enable them to realize their potential through the use of visual and communication arts.
Founded in 1984, the Harlem Textile Works, provides youngsters with art education, training, and employment opportunities in design, the visual arts, and related fields.
The exhibit is held in the college’s main building (the atrium gallery) at 31-10 Thomson Ave.
