The award winners were: Lucy Cipriano and Theresa Desena, nominated by Maspeth Town Hall and The Harvest Club; Ruth Kempisty, nominated by Citizens of Maspeth and Elmhurst together; Bea O'Dea, nominated by Norc Self-help; Eugenia Pate, nominated by Woodside Senior Center; Rose Rothschild, nominated by Community Board 4; Joan Sammon, nominated by Maspeth Self-help; Connie Stamatiades, nominated by the Dutch Kills Civic Association of Long Island City; Carol Terrano, nominated by Community Board 2; and Maryanna Zero, nominated by The Maspeth Chamber of Commerce.
