Manhattan—A Far Rockaway man was arrested in a Manhattan subway station Friday after an officer recognized him as the man who allegedly robbed her four years earlier, police said.
Steven Santos, 39, of 82-01 Hammels Blvd. struggled as officers Nicol de la Rosa and Marykate Donahue took him into custody, police said. Santos was charged with robbery, assault on a police officer, obstructing government administration, resisting arrest and false impersonation, police said.
Officer de la Rosa recognized Santos as the man who allegedly robbed her in Manhattan in 2000, police said.
