Wilson Villada Jr. Long Island City

Villada was the general behind the plate, batting .432 with three home runs, 14 RBIs and a slugging percentage of .750.

First Base

Glenn Smith Sr. Benjamin Cardozo

His strong glove at first nearly matched his heavy bat at the plate where he batted .426 with four home runs and 25 RBIs. He also went 6-0 as a pitcher, fifth best in the PSAL.

Second Base

Tommy Mejia Sr. Newtown

The 6-foot-2, 180-pound pitcher and infielder batted .511 with 24 hits, 17 runs and .610 on base percentage.

Shortstop

George Espinal Sr. Bayside

The slick fielding shortstop batted .513 with four home runs, 24 RBIs and a slugging percentage of 1.026, 22nd best in the PSAL.

Third Base

Bobby Manzolillo Sr. Grover Cleveland

The versatile athlete batted .425 with 17 hits and two home runs in 16 games. He also ran track and bowled at Grover Cleveland.

Left Field

Danny Kapica Sr. Bayside

A dependable glove in the outfield, Kapica batted .460 with 23 hits and on base percentage of .557 in 16 games. Also went 3-0 as a pitcher.

Center Field

Abel Curiel Sr. Arts & Business

A four-year varsity starter and team leader, he batted .436 with 17 RBIs, 17 hits, 10 runs scored and a slugging percentage of .923.

Right Field

Steve Rodriguez Jr. Newtown

A vacuum cleaner in the outfield, he batted .404 with 21 hits, 20 RBIs and three home runs for Pioneers.

Designated Hitter

Mike Errigo Sr. Benjamin Cardozo

A team captain and four-year starter, the Stony Brook-bound hurler batted .619, 10th best in the PSAL, with 26 hits and 28 runs scored. He also went 3-1 as a pitcher with 46 strikeouts in 17 innings.
