In the win against New Hyde Park, starting pitcher Jesscia Olwell was solid, giving up five runs and striking out five in four innings.
Reliever Jesenia Dupuy pitched the final two games and hit a three-run homer. Diana Mulvey and Nicoleete Pullo each went 2-for-2.
Dunkin’ Donuts 15 Burger King 14
Jesenia Dupuy hit a three-run double in last inning to win the game for Dunkin’ Donuts.
Shortstop Nicolette Pullo went 3-for-4 and played excellent defensive. Jen Brosnan and Cristina Fristachi each went for 2-for-3 and caught a nice game.
Rosalind Salcedo made a nice throw to second base from the outfield. Pitchers Toni Ann Groth, Ashley Doran and Jesenia Dupuy were solid and Icha Phull, Diana Mulvey, Carly Farrone, Jessica Olwell and Kerry Bunyan played well.

Toni Ann Groth pitched a complete game and went 2-for-3 with two RBIs and two doubles. Kerry Bunyan and Cristina Fristachi each went 2-for-3, Carly Farrone played excellent defense in the outfield, Diana Mulvey, Rosalind Salcedo and Sneha Mohan played well in the outfield and at the plate.
Jessica Olwell, Nicolette Puollo, Jesenia Dupuy and Bunyan did a great job in the infield while Jen Brosnan and Fristachi caught a good game.

Ashley Doran struck out six in six innings and went 3-for-3 with five RBIs and two doubles and Cristina Fristachi and Kerry Bunyan had two hits apiece.
Jessica Olwell, Nicolette Puollo, Kerry Bunyan and Toni Ann Groth were solid defensively in the infield while Maria Augustine, Fristachi and Olwell played well behind the plate.
Padavan Blue Jays fly high
The Senator Frank Padavan Blue Jays Senior Girls Softball team continued a pattern of scoring more runs in a series of games than they need for a subequent games afted they defeated Mark’s Lumber 21-9 and few days later saw their bats cool off against TNT Liquidators in games played at Smith Field in the Preller complex.
The BlueJays erupted for 11 runs in the third inning. Marisa Bearak made her pitching debut after a dominant three innings by Alexis Namit, who registered six strikeouts and allowed one of Mark’s Lumber’s two hits.
Namit batted 4-for-4, with three RBIs and four runs, including a lead-off homer and a double.
Bearak reached safely in all five at-bats on two singles and three walks. Cynthia Johnson went 3-for-4 with a triple, double, four runs scored and five RBIs.
Lorey Giblin added four RBIs. Tara McCullagh reched base all five appearances with a single and four walks. Marybeth “MB” Attanasio scored once and knocked in two on 1-of-2 hitting. Jenifer Johnson reached safely and scored two times.
Uncle Louie G’s Mets win again
The Uncle Louie G’s Mets girls softball team improved their ecord to 7-2-1 by defeating Mineola 2 and Merillon 1 this week.
Against Mineola Kaitlyn Biscotti pitched the first three innings, allowing no hits or runs while striking out nine and walking three.
Ashley Tolento came on to finish the game for the Mets and struck out six. The girls all had their hitting shoes on and scored 13 runs in the game.
Some of the offensive highlights were Gabby Valdes driving in five runs and Nicole Gugliemetti driving in three. Angela George, Gabby Rey, Lisa Diriggo and Marleny Santana all had singles.
While playing Merillon in a steady drizzle the girls continued their hot hitting, scoring 14 runs this this time.
Shannon Wallace had a big single to drive in a run, Nadine Choorci singles to bring in a run and also scored a run.
Meghan Gratzer continues her solid all-around play with a hit, walk and run scored. Gabby Prusak’s bat began to heat up as she reached base three times a scored a run for the Mets.
