Chan Qyn Zou, 33, of Madison Street in Chinatown was killed at the scene at 46-22 Kissena Blvd. and two women were shot, one in the head and the other in the leg. The woman who was shot in the head died about 1 p.m. Friday in New York Hospital Queens. The other woman suffered a leg injury and was listed in stable condition in New York Hospital Queens, according to police. The two women were reportedly waitresses at the club. The police would not release their names or ages.Police were not investigating the shootings as a gang-related incident. They would not give out details about any suspects or indicate whether there was one or multiple gunmen involved.The shooting took place at 2:15 a.m. Friday inside the club, police said. Officers at the 109th Precinct could not offer any more details on the case.The nightclub is in the basement of a strip mall that has businesses in the basement, ground and top floors of the buildings.The following evening people were hanging out in the neighborhood around the bar. The lettering on the sign indicated that the bar was Chinese. At a Korean bar down the street, a bartender who wished to remain unnamed said he was not afraid to work in the neighborhood after hearing about the shooting.But patrons at the Korean bar said security was tighter than usual. They also said the Red Rose Club was known for hosting an older, mostly Asian male clientele.The bar did not answer the doorbell Friday evening, although pink blinking floor lights were illuminated on the stairs leading down to the bar and video game machines were on.Neighbors said the bar had been the site of late-night arguments in the past.
