The focus is on Forest Hills on Senator Maltese’s weekly show

Helping improve the quality of life and protecting the citizens who live and work in Forest Hills and the surrounding communities are the topics addressed on Senator Serphin R. Maltese’s weekly cable television show.
Barbara Stuchinski, President of the Forest Hills Community and Civic Association, and Heidi Harrison Chain, President of the 112th Precinct Council, discussed with Maltese the various programs and services available to citizens and how they can become more involved in their community.
They are co-sponsoring an Emergency Preparedness Forum on June 4 at the Forest Hills Community House to provide residents with information on how they can be better prepared in the event of an emergency.
In addition, the 112th Precinct Council and the Forest Hills Community and Civic Association are jointly sponsoring an essay contest for children grades 4 through 12. The theme is “Tolerance: We Can Work It Out.” Maltese pledged he will present the winners with special “Maltese Medals” and savings bonds.
“We are indeed very fortunate to have two such dedicated individuals who are giving their time and expertise to our community,” said Maltese. “I commend them and encourage residents to participate in the many programs and services that they sponsor.”
The Senator’s cable show is broadcast twice each week on QPTV: Sundays at 4 p.m. on Channel 34 and Wednesdays at 10 p.m. on Channel 56.
