A local dance club set to open on White Plains Road may never see the light of day due in part to lackadaisical preparation and opposition from the neighboring community.

Rush, a proposed nightclub with a bar and lounge at the corner of Rhinelander Avenue, was preparing to open this month, hosting an inaugural party to a full house earlier this month. But that party was cut short by the 49th Precinct after officers learned the club was operating without a liquor license.
