Dorthula E. Jackson

Dorthula E. Jackson of East Elmhurst passed away on May 5.
She was born August 29, 1918 in Red Oak, VA. She was one of 10 children born to Charles and Venna Elam.
As an adult, she moved to Pittsburgh, PA, where she married Chauncey Jackson and bore two children, Chauncey, Jr. and Juanita.
The family settled in East Elmhurst in 1947.
Jackson worked at the Lily Tulip Cup Corp. for 17 years and thereafter as a baby nurse. She was a faithful parishioner of St. Mark A.M.E. Church for 60 years.
She leaves a host of devoted family members and friends.
Arrangements were handled by the Triboro Funeral Home in Jackson Heights.
